I am feeling so down in the dumps

What started off being a good day, having off from work.
I come home and find police at my house. To make a long story short, my brother is going through a very nasty drawn out divorce with a child involved and he has now moved on and has a girlfriend. So my almost x sis in law has a lot of issues and is being very hurtful to everyone around. Basically, she has been doing drive bys all day (she isnt allowed at the house) and making stupid threatening phone calls. All the while, my sweet little nephew is in the car with him while she is pulling this crap.
My brother had to have the police back at the house, they were going to try to find her and arrest her for stalking and some other issues. My brother had to go to the precinct and they had sis in law there with my nephew, my dad and her dad had to come down also. They wound up letting her go and she still has my nephew, I am just sooo worried for that little boy, he has been through so much this past year and I know this is really hurting him.
Now, cops are coming over to reivew the threatening messages she has left, I am just so worried. Please pray and hope everything works out.
She also told my dad she may not let my nephew even go to my wedding

I really feel for you and your family. Unfortunately, some people can't cope when a relationship is over. And when a child is involved, they should never be put to see such a display of inmaturity. Stay strong!!

i am soooo sorry..... have you guys called cps ( child protective services)? they can keep a good watch on your nephew in the meantime until custody gets straightened out!!!

I know the feeling! This is really hard. When my dad and mom split my mother went crazy. It was so hard living through all of her ups and downs. I cant describe the things that she did (well I can but its not appropriate) Honestly, women do horrible things. Your SIL is not thinking clearly and is prob. so enraged, upset, distraught she is just acting on impulse. I am NOT saying its right or excusing her behavior I just wanted to let you know that I feel for her, your brother, and nephew. Divorce is horrible but time will help heal a lot of wounds. Eventually my parents were able to move on and be somewhat of friends because of me. As a young girl tho it was very tramatic and devastating have a mother battling so many issues. I hope your nephew has a lot of support and love to guide him. It sounds like he does tho oh and one more thing I dont know how old he is but NEVER bad mouth his mother no matter what. Its really hurtful to a child even if you know its true. Good luck with everything!

I would never ever say anything bad in front of nephew about her, we are all very careful b/c he is 6 and has the ears of an elephant.
Unfortunately, she doesnt follow the same rules.
Yes, time heals all wounds, and I know eventually things will get better, it just seems so endless at this point with the good days and the bad days. the police are here now listening to the answering machine. My brother doesnt want her arrested, that is the last thing any of us wants, it will only traumatize my nephew even more
