I'm soooo excited!!! What do I need to know??? Should I have a plan? Cause I don't! I mean I pretty much know what we need -- EVERYTHING (we're new homeowners!) !!!!

Congratulations! it is sooo much fun! We only registered for some things (we are having an engagement party in June and our families wanted us to register so they wouldn't all get us things we didn't need!) They usually give you a list of things to register for....where are you going?

It's so much fun! My advice is to walk around the whole place first and narrow down what you like.
Our first time around we thought everything was great and realized we had clashing sets of sheets, etc.
Have a blast though, and don't stress if FH picks some strange things!

Have fun! But be warned that it can wipe you out. We just registered for a few things we wanted to get our list started - three hours later I was dead tired. But it is so much fun!!!!

I just wanted to tell you what happened to me. I went to register at LNT and Macy's. EVERYTHING I registered for at Macy's (Bed-in-a-bag, sheets, pillows...etc...) was DISCONTINUED! Make sure that you ask an associate what happens if you register for something that's discontinued. Fortunately, I had more things on LNT so I cancelled Macy's registry because the sales associate was SO unhelpful and rude. Just BE CAREFUL when it says DISCONTINUED! Good Luck though, give FH the gun (they like to shoot the prices)

Have fun! I registered at BBB too. They are really nice and super helpful. I actually thought it was kind of stressful. We didnt agree ona lot of stuff and actually we went back twice. Teh first time we were kind of overwhelmed but the 2nd time a round we had a better idea of what we needed.
Most places are ready to tell you their suggestions. And BBB has a checklist to work off of too.

Have fuN!!!! I can't help I registered at BBB online, so I never even took the scanner in the store!
All I can say is make sure your FH had something to eat, Evan was hungry and being a real b1tch the first time we went!

I registered at BBB and received a letter from them saying my casual china has been discontinued. So I then registered for the china at Fortunoff. Well, everytime I go to BBB or check their website, the china is there! Weird...

Have a great time. The first day we registered we did it at C&B. It was so fun, they opened up the store early for couples registering and had coffee and breakfast goodies. We found that we registerd for quite a few things and were there for almost 3 hours. When we checked back in, they were like 'that is it'? LOL. We ended up adding a lot afterwards. We are still updating it. The first day was just so overwhelming. I also registered at Macy's. They were very helpful to me.

I have heard from friends to never underestimate the # of towels you will need. Also, my personal favorite are the 400 thread count sheets - a nice indulgence for a new home.
