My aunt is a florist and she is doing our flowers for free. That is our wedding gift from her. However, she called my mom up this weekend and told my mom that she does nto know if she will be able to do them. Her boyfriend of the last 7 years left her and moved to Peurto Rico with no notice. He called her from the airport to tell her that he moved out. She is devastated and has nto been to work in a week. He siad that he will think of taking her back if she moves to PR with him. She is considering doing this. she called today to see if she could get out of her lease here. The reason he does not want to be with her anymore is because he says she puts her 78 year old mother and her son before him. Nice guy huh! He wants her to leave her mother who lived with them and move to PR. She is planning on going. I think she is crazy, and I feel terrible for her but now who am I going to find to do my flowers in less than two months. I alwyas wanted her to do them and she has promised me that since I was a little girl. Now what do I do? I called a few other florists and they laughed at me. They are ALL ooked for that date. I am so nervous but I am still hoping this will all blow over soon and that she will regain her senses.

I dont know what to say, but good luck! Maybe she will come back to do the flowers? There must be someone who is avail. Did you post on the vendors board?

I'm really sorry that your aunt is bailing out on you so last minute... however, I think that there might still be a solution: instead of looking for a new florist, how about you keep her (hear me out)?
She was going to do it for you for free... how about you try to help out? Instead of shelling out thousands now on a florist you're not comfortable with, maybe you can buy her plane ticket for the week of and have her run the flower preparations from PR? The flowers would still be free, but you would only pay for certain arrangements.... I hope this helps.

Why don't you FM Laurie from LA Blossom or John from Flower Michele. (They are both on liweddings) We met with both of them and we liked both of them and they both gave us great prices. It's worth a shot.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish you luck. Call some florists, maybe some florists don't have bookings for your day. It's worth a shot. Talk to your aunt.
