I recently booked with ********* photography because they were highly recommended to me by a friend who used them for her wedding. Everytime I call the office to speak to someone about a question I may have NO ONE answers the phone. I can never seem to reach anyone, also met with my photographer back in october but I was not crazy about the work he showed me...I will be working with chris. Has anyone else used chris? I am becoming a little worried about my decision and if I should change photographers but I would hate to loose my deposit :( Please advice!!!!!!!

The photographer's company name is blocked in your post. This doesn't necessarily mean something bad, plenty of popular vendors on here have their names blocked, but in order for everyone to be able to see the company name, you have to put asterisks (*) in between the letters like this S*i*l*v*e*r*f*o*x S*t*u*d*i*o*s.

Good guess, huh? I believe that in one way or another the vendor has violated the TOS here at LIW and is blocked from the website. I remember a few months ago a popular vendor was blocked because they advertised themselves as an 'LIW favorite' despite not being advertised on this site. Vendors pay for the ads here (keeping it free for us users!) and their affiliation with LIW. Since the vendor hadn't paid and still dropped LIW's name, they were blocked. Since then, the issue has been resolved and while they are NOT an LIW vendor, they are no longer blocked either. Soooo, it might not be anything bad or serious, but they still violated the TOS in some way. Another example is E*v*e*n*s*t*a*r P*a*p*e*r*i*e- I have no idea what they did but they are blocked but still a fave of LIW brides.
Anyway, I'm sorry I can't be more help with the actual photography company though- I don't know anything about them other than the fact that they are blocked from this site. Good luck!!

hmmm thanks for the info. I actually just spoke to John which is the owner after i emailed them and also my friend who referred me sent them an email saying I am freaking out lol. John did assure me not to worry and I guess the office was closed at the times I was calling or whatever the case is. I feel a little better now because Lord knows I was a mess lol.

I was/am a S I L V E R F O X bride. Everytime I called, I had to leave a message and then someone would always call me back. I was hestitant at first too, but John matched us up with Alexis for photo and Steve for video and it was just absolute perfection! we weren't crazy about our e-pics but that was my fault, not Alexis or John's fault. They were recommended to me by a college friend (a 2010 bride) and when I saw her pics I fell in love so I hired them immediately. John definitely knows his stuff and I would trust him if he matched you with Chris. My advice to you is to give your photographer example pics of what you like and a must take photo list.

My FH and I booked S I L V E R F O X as well, based on numerous recommendations. I know two people from high school who used them for their weddings, and I absolutely loved their pictures. We also loved John when we met with him. He also put us with Chris and we had our engagement shoot on Monday of this week ... we didn't see any of the pictures yet but were told we should have them in under 2 weeks. Chris was a little quiet but very nice and professional. He said he's been with S I L V E R F O X for 4 years.
Can I ask what you didn't like about the work of his you saw? When FH and I met with John, he showed us a bunch of albums to see what style of photos we liked. We both like a mix of traditional and photojournalistic, not too artsy. Based on the albums we liked, he placed us with Chris.
If you FM me, I will definitely show you some of our pictures when we get them back! Are you doing an eshoot? When?

@msrtomrsk thank you soooo much for the advice. I finally got in touch with john yesterday and he really put me at ease...he sent me work from my photographer chris and I was very pleased. I just feel like I need to be able to contact you whenever I have a question because this wedding planning is soooo nerve recking as is...lol

Yes...I was very pleased with the pictures John sent me that chris did :) I feel sooooo much better now
p.s. Cant wait to see your engagement pictures, hope it turns out beautiful
