holy crap, a big ditto on this! this website stresses me out even more! i see these girls who are getting married after me that already have this and that, done this and that.

Don't freak out.

I dont have a gown, downt have BM dresses, STD's, even wedding colors yet.

All i have is a RH and a photo/videographer.

So, i totally feel your pain.

If there is anything i can do to help let me know

And btw, what is that channa thing you girls keep talking about?

i was clueless too. i had to look it up! theres a whole post on bhb about it. its a plaque with your new last name and both your first names and date of wedding. most ppl put it by the cake and then hang it up in their house after the wedding.

its only called channa plaque bc that was the persons name whom started it

i'm not sure its a jewish thing as i've never seen or even heard of it before??

you totally can't base your progress on what other LIW girls are doing...the girls on here are freaks haha in a good way- we're all way ahead of where we really need to be. in the 'real world' you're still ahead of the game jamie- you're still over a year out! don't stress, i think we've all felt like that at one point or another...and then the checks just start rolling in. chances are you're going to decide on everything you listed within a few days of each other and then poof! like that, all of your major checks are done....and then you'll be sitting around twiddling your thumbs like futureJOC wishing you had something wedding related to do

nope, not jewish...not religious at all actually. it's just a pretty plaque that girls get as a decoration for the wedding...and then use in the house afterward. just a nice little memento from the day that you can keep out

Don't go crazy woman! You already have 10x more done than I do and I'm only 2 mo after you! At least you have a list of what needs to get accomplished so you are already ahead of the game.

Fist things first- you can't pick out BM dresses until you get your dress and you said you can't do a hotel block until 1 year before the wedding- so push those off your stress mound until they are back in play.

As for nik naks- is your florist providing pillar/votives/candles for your RH? If not you can stock up on those and drop them off to her once it gets closer.

You need a STD- where have you looked so far? I've heard amazing things about Inklinations in Manhasset and magnetstreet.com. I ordered my E-party invites from there and they came out really nice.

Orrrrrr we can always get our MU trials that way you can breathe about not having a conflicted MU artist the day of!!!

You are not useless biotch!!! Let's have funnnn and find you stuff!!!

If i dont accomplish something soon. I just want to be DONE !! I have had a check in soo long.. I cant decide on a videographer, cant pick a STD or get either side to give me their guest lists, cant do a hotel block until exactly one year to the wedding day.. ( also cant find any hotels that have a free shuttle, bridal suite, and bar for an afterparty)
