A few months ago maybe back in October I called a company who books bands. I checked out their website as they directed and watched tons of video clips. They started calling me like once a week non stop. I kept telling them that I'm not booking until after the new year and that I'll be in touch with him. He calls me again in the beginning of December and wants to talk some more. I told him once again that I'm not interested in booking yet that we're waiting. He called a few more times in Dec but I just didn't answer the phone.
Now that it's after the new year my FH and I booked our band and it's not with this ANNOYING company. He keeps calling 2-3 times a week and I'm just not answering the phone. My concern is what is wrong with this company if they have nothing better to do than hunt down possible customers???? The man is driving me absolutley nuts. Sorry I had to get that off my chest.
Ew! How annoying! Just tell them to NOT call anymore, you do not need their services. If they call again you have every right to flip out on them.

I don't even want to pick up the phone. The man acts like we've never talked before. It's always the same thing. Have you had a chance to look at our website. Do you want to come to Manhatten to see a show. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. He not only calls my cell phone, but if I don't answer that he calls my work phone. The man is driving me crazy!!!

Since ignoring the company doesn't seem to work, you need to be direct. The next time you receive a call, explain that you've already booked someone and do not wish to be contacted again. If you receive another call after that, explain that this is now harrassment and you will contact the police if you receive another call. Dial *57 after you hang up (if he calls you). Dialing *57 puts an automatic trace on the last phone call you received. If you end up contacting the police department, they can subpoena your phone records showing the calls you receive from the company. I'd also keep a log of the time & date of each call you receive, as well as which phone number they called.

I feel your pain - although yours is a lot more serious. I asked for info from a DJ and then I kept getting their automated message EVERY day asking me to call for info. I also took off all of my info from this site because vendors would call me all the time unsolicited. UGH!

I had the same problem with some stupid guy who I have never even contacted before. I kept letting the calls go to the answering machine (I have caller id, so I knew it was him), thinking he'd get the hint. He kept calling, so finally I picked up the phone & told him that we'd booked someone already.

Any vendor that called repeatedly when I mentioned I was not 'up to that stage' was immediately taken out of the running. When they called back, I let them know that their numerous and annoying phone calls were the reason I booked with another company. It's the only way to get them to stop.

Tell them that you are on a 'Do not call list' Remember that list that New Yorkers got on so that solicitors couldn't call you anymore? They will def stop!

I've been lucky enough to miss the calls 90% of the time. He always calls during the day when I'm at work. Next time he calls I'm going to answer the phone and tell him to leave me alone. I've never been so annoyed!!!

I Have a band company that keeps on calling me to i don't remember there name but they won't leave me alone either. I'm going to them that i got someone

I had something very similar but with a wedding hall...They just kept calling. With the wedding hall I finaly picked up and told them we already booked a place and they were very nice about it and simply said that they are always looking to improve themselves and what was it that I really liked about the place I booked. They were very positive about it. I also had a florist do the same. Just tell them you hired someone. They'll back off.

Funny you should mention that.....When FH and I went looking, I expected that we would get calls to Follow up, but we got none....
