Wow, it feels like forever since I have been on talking to you all other then my quick post on my way to Hawaii. I feel like I am so out of the loop and have so much to catch up on. I hope all the August brides have had fabulous weddings. I know there has been a bunch of Lands End brides, I hope your days have been as fabulous as mine.
Hawaii was amazing. I will get into more detail later but it is absolutely as wonderful as I remember and even more amazing when you get to share it with the man of your dreams. If I recommend one expensive place to enjoy, go to the Canoe House on the Big Island and tell them you are honeymooners. It was the most romantic night. The Marriot at the Big Island was so beautiful and peaceful. The Grand Wailea is anything but peaceful but was a ton of fun.
I have wedding pics in my album if you didn't see. The highlight (well other then vows and first dance) was the boat entrance. It was amazing and everyone is talking about it.
I missed you girls.... fill me in, whats going on?

Oh, man! I wish we knew about the Canoe House before we went to the Big Island. We stayed at The Fairmont (on the Big Island and in Maui). The one in Maui was 10x better. We ate at one of their restaurants because we enjoyed their food so much. I'm not sure if you took a walk down there or not. We walked towards the Grand Wailea, but didn't walk past it. Sounds like you had a great time! ;) Did you do the road to Hana or see the volcano?

We did a helicopter on the Big Island over the volcano and did the road to Hana. We never made it to Haleakula but we did the Sail Trilogy to Lanai'i which is probably my favorite thing to do in hawaii and gives you access to the #2 best snorkeling beach in the world and the only one is Hawaii that is not decreasing in size, its a state reserve. We didn't walk by the Fairmont but drove by it, it looked very beautiful. Yeah Canoe House was great so was Ferrarros at the Four Seasons. We did 3 high end dinners on our trip, the 3rd was at Humuhumunukunukuapu'au at the Grand Wailea, we were not terribly impressed with that place. We loved the Grand Wailea though. The Bistro and Cafe there were great and it has a crazy awesome pool. Did you do any luaus?

Thanks, she fought us about having that bow on. She knocked it off 10 times before my mom found a better way to put it on.

Yea, we did a luau on the Big Island...at Kona Resort. It was really nice! I loved the pig roast! We didn't go to Haleakula, either. We wanted to do the sunrise tour, but that hurricane was supposed to come while we were there and we were worried that it would be pouring and/or we wouldn't see anything. So, we just decided...hey, we can see the sunrise any time. We went to Lahaina Grill one night. Their food was delicious! Unfortunately, we made reservations for 830 and I didn't realize just how much shopping there was to do. By the time we got out of dinner, everything was closed :(...and it was a little out of the way to drive back to the next day. We also went to Mama's Fish house. It is right on the beach. They have the BEST Mahi Mahi, if you like fish. Everything was to die for there! Oh, we also spent one day in Oahu to visit Pearl Harbor. Honolulu was not what I expected, though. People said it was more city-like, but some areas were a little shady. Actually, most areas were. I would not go back to Oahu again.

Oh we drove to Lahaina almost daily. i have been to Hawaii before and I know how much I love it there. Plus Lahaina almost NEVER rains. Thats why the kings settled in that area, then the missionaries. Twice it was raining in Wailea so we got in the car and drove to Lahaina.

Haha, DH (wierd) fixes EVERYTHING!! Everyone was guessing he would have his head in the motor of some local who's boat broke down. So when he bought WD-40 to fix the windows on the Jeep i was dying laughing. He can't help himself.
