DH loves Charles P Rogers and we frequent the store often...but the thing stopping us is where will you find matching dressers? DH does not think it is that big of a deal, but for the price I want to be totally satisfied with the look of my room.

great bed by the way

i don't really like everything to match but it would nice if they did offer coordinating pieces. i wonder why they don't. do you think that any stores discounts his furniture? from the info on the site, it seems as if it is ONLY sold in their stores.

ETA - I love Charles P Rogers beds - mostly their iron frames...but they have gorgeous stuff.

From Ethan Allen - $1399 - linen & bisque finishes

Also from EA - $1999

Pottery Barn - $1099-1199 - cream & black finishes

Just a question, I love the look, but are these beds a pain in the butt to make because of the footboard?

The Martha Stewart Line by Bernhardt has a very similiar bed. I checked it out when I was furniture shopping. It's around $1500 for the King Size bed.

It's in the Lily Pond Collection, see link below.

I keep forgetting she has a collection - I knew I saw something eerily similar...East Hampton Bed from the Lily Collection...

I haven't seen any of their beds anywhere other then sold by them. Their sales guy always tells me that I am too hung up on matching the wood, I wish in their catalog they would show complete bedrooms with other furniture

i saw MS bed as well, thanks! although the style is VERY similar, i am not too fond of the high-gloss finish. also the footboard is (IMO) too high.

thanks again for all your responses.

i agere in re: matching the wood. although it is easier to buy a matching set, i prefer the mismatched look.

for one of the guest bedrooms, i was thinking of these peices. the bed is from ballard designs and the other pieces from brambleco.com. i would have all the pieces finished in antique black. even though they are not a set and from different companies, i think they will blend well.

ohh I love the Blaine beds from RH, but DH does not like the black.

Those are great furniture pieces for your room

at first glance it looks like a dark walnut finish but now that you mentioned it, i think it is black. DAMN. black is fine for the guest bedroom but DH doesn't want black for our room.

Skew - can I make another suggestion that is totally off from what you are looking at?

I also like a mismatched look - I think if done right it can be great...

I bought this bed for our room - it comes in a few different colors - the headboard is SO comfy and it has very little wood - so you dont have to worry too much about matching. Also I paired it with more modern furniture - but I think it can also be paired with something more traditional.
(Although I also love and considered the styles from RH myself - so I dont think you can go wrong with those)

a queen is $1499.00

What is nice is there are also some other matching items out there - so if you wanted to do a seating area with a nice wooden table or something its a way to tie it all together
