I am looking a beach ( in the Nassau area) to take pics after wedding-please list some locations nearby
Hi ladies,
I am getting married at St. Aidans and my reception is at Jericho Terrace. I would love some beach pics but i dont want to travel too far out- i would say no more than 1/2 hour away from JT. Does anyone know what the closest beach is? Jones beach may be too crowded.... I heard of a crescent beach in glen cove- has anyone been there? heard of it?

There is also Morgan Park in Glen Cove, which has a beach and a park w/ a beautiful gazebo.

Is Long Beach or Atlanitc Beach near there?, they are both very nice HTH

Up in Bayville are beaches that get beautiful sunsets that shouldn't be too far.

What about Bar Beach?? It's only 10 minutes and prob the closest beach.

I believe Bar Beach is in Port Washington. I take my kids for the end of the year trip there every year. never crowded. . . . you can probably google the town of north hempstead and i am sure there is a website.

Hi - I took my pictures at Crescent Beach and they are beautiful but the problem is is that it is a small beach. what time is your church? b/c if it is early in the day , beachgoers will still be there and wont be room to take pictures, but if it is later then u should be ok. my wedding was in oct so i didnt really have a problem. Glen Cove has alot of pretty beaches. it all depends on the time of day.

I was just going to say Bar Beach/Hempstead Harbor, that's going to be your best bet.
They are kind of between Port Washington and Roslyn, right up off of Old Northern Blvd, I think.
Check out the Town of North Hempstead website, they'll have a map with better directions!
