We are finally back from our HM and I am back at work (bummer!) but the wedding was just wonderful. I am still euphoric. We have been pretty busy with getting everything together and leaving for the cabin and then we got back late Sunday, so I haven't had a chance to log on.
The wedding was on April 13, Sunday (two weeks ago) in the courtyard at the Vanderbilt Mansion. We were so charmed. After a horrible week, the sun came out and it was just perfect! I promise to log back in either tonight or tomorrow and post some pics and a review. But i need to tell you all that i had amazing vendors and everything was even better than i could have hoped for!! If it wasn't perfect, I didn't notice. And for those of you having your special day at the Vanderbilt Mansion, sit back and breathe, because you are in wonderful hands!!!!!! It WILL BE amazing!!!!! people are still calling to say it was the best wedding they have ever been to!!!
Thanks so much for all the help from the ladies on this site! I could not have pulled off a long distance wedding in 4 1/2 months without LIW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I have a few pics that folks have sent via email, but I am really bad with posting pics. I will try to post a couple and then I really do have to go back to work!
This is one of the Bridesmaids at the beach (we went to the beach for photos before the VM). That is where Chris and I saw each other for the first time (we chose to do photos first and see each other before the ceremony -- GREAT choice!)
oops, why is that so small?????? It won't let me do a big one so i did the resize, but it came out small!

Congrats! I've been waiting for your review and pics. I'm getting married at the Vanderbilt Mansion also and there aren't too many other brides on here having thier wedding there. I'm so glad to hear that everything was perfect.

oh, iwish i could post pictures, but i just wanted to say to agv to definitely consider the Vanderbilt strongly. it is a stunning location and Lovin Oven service was impeccable the day of. they were very accomodating as well and handled everything so smoothly!! you will NOT be disappointed.
plus, people just raved about the food. the food was phenomonal!! Given that I had it on Sunday afternoon (during April which is not peak time) I feel like i got the bargain of a lifetime!!! they are worth it!
the only caution i would give would be that this is not the location for a large wedding. we had 100 people and it was perfect. in fact, we could have fit a few more. but i would not go over 130 (unless it is nice weather because then the party will flow outside and there is a lot of seating and space out there!)
