so my FH just accepted a job in Gaithersburg Maryland so we are going to be moving a week after we get back from our honeymoon! UGH. I want to be on Long Island SOOOO BAD!!!!!!!!! but I will live closer to my brother who is in DC so that is good! any ladies life close to washington DC???? I could use a new friend!

FH is going to be working in Frederick when he gets back from training!
I plan to move out there once I'm done with school in Pennsylvania! How far is Gaithersburg from DC? Frederick, I hear, is about 1hr from DC!
It's super exciting to hear that someone is moving there lol... no one knows what I'm talking about when I say Frederick!
Don't worry, it's REALLY nice out there! I think you'll like it! I was shocked when we went looking for apartments! Real estate is so since those cities are close to DC!

yay! another Longislander near DC. I think gaithersburg is the same 45 min to 1 hour north of DC I am so nervouse we really want to buy a house but they are soo pricey. and we live in Pennsylvania now and were looking to buy and we are never going to get the same for our money in MD. what part of PA are you in now!

I just googled frederick, md and it is about 23 miles north of where I will be! not to far!

I'm in Erie, PA right now I'm a Nursing student at Gannon University.
FH was planning on returning to Penn State Behrend for another major so that I could finish up BUT I wouldn't let him pass up the job offer he got! So we'll be in MD
So what brought you to PA?

FH is in biotech and got a job here. I live in Malvern, near king of prussia 30 miles outside Philly! and I AM A NURSE!!!!!!!!! I do labor and delivery best of luck in nursing school! I have tons of study guids for the NCLEX if you want them!

My brother and sister-in-law just moved to Gaithersburg, MD back in April. They love it down there! I think they just moved to Boyds, MD, which isn't too far. My brother works in DC.
I hope you love it down there!

my sister, jeanla4c, lives outside of DC. She went to college there and as I tease her, never came back! DC is a great area with a lot of young people and a lot of New Yorkers. Best of luck and feel free to FM her if you have any questions!!

OMG!!!! That is CRAZY! I WANT TO DO LABOR AND DELIVERY!!!!
I plan to start off in Med Surg or something general then eventually make my way to Obstetrics!!!! That's so cool! How do you like it there?
FH does software engineering. Our men are lucky that nursing is something you can do just about ANYWHERE lol. For years I'd hoped to start at Memorial Sloan Kettering since my mom works there BUT FH just got the job in MD so plans have changed .. I know it'll all work out though.
I'd LOVE to borrow some of your NCLEX books if we come within an hour of each other before I graduate lol. As you probably know, Erie is about 6 hours from Philly!
So are you going to continue in L&D when you move?!!! I know you won't read this post until you get off of work! If only we nurses had access to LIW at the hospital! Our patients would be screwed

We live in Bethesda, MD which is about 15 minutes away from Gaithersburg. It's such a wonderful area to live in. Definitely send me an FM if you have any questions or want to get together!

I live in Silver Spring, MD which is about 20 mins away!!

PS - Gaithersburg has every chain restaurant imaginable... I love it!

My grandfather used to live in Silver Springs! It was my favorite city to visit! I just LOVED everything about it! Such a great place and so different from NY! I haven't been there for years though!
