You girls have me thinking.....If we aren't planning on getting married until 9/21/05, should I have started planning already? I am breaking a sweat... How do you know when to actually start booking things?

I don't think so...I am sept of 2004 and I just began booking...you are still a year after me. I would only suggest that if you are sure you want that date, book your hall and ceremony site.

OMG! don't be nervous you have PLENTY of time.....you can start doing stuff so you are not overwhelmed next year.....

It all depends on what you want, a popular place on a Saturday, might be booked, and if you aren't flexible with the date, then you might want to book early.
I'd start to get the big things booked...ahll...photog..video...music...that wasy you are locked into 2003 prices

I would start looking at halls and church's (if needed). We booked our hall 2 yrs before, and b/c our wedding was around the holidays there were a lot of dates already booked. They really book up fast.

You have no reason to be nervous. If I were you, I'd relax until the two year mark, and then I'd start on the big things. But there's no need to rush!

ok, just called FI freaking out..lol.
it is actually going to either be the 24th or 17th of september 2005. The 21st is our anniversary, so we want to do it around then. Ok, I guess I should start thinking about halls. I am stressing already..lol

you have time, but I would look for Halls, they can book quickly, depending on the month and where you want to get married

I would research and book vendors you like now....prices may go up in 2004.
I think you can wait on your dress & bm dresses. New styles come out every year.

I am getting married July 05 and I booked my reception hall. I wanted to start booking other things, but I am going to wait until FH moves back here in December. But if he were here and we were able to, I'd be booking everything now. When I started looking for a reception hall in January, like 6 or 7 of the places we went to were booked already for our date! Needless to say that was enough proof that it's never too early to start! Good luck!

We were engaged 4/02 and started booking all major vendors soon after. We saved quite a few dollars by doing that. And, we were able to make sure we got our top choices for the services we needed. All we have left to do is florists. Which we are deciding on in a couple of weeks.

BTW, when we booked Chateau Briand in 4/02, they were already getting contracts for 2005!! So its never too soon. Forgot to mention my wedding is 3/04.

i'm getting maried oct. 2005 and i'm starting to look for my hall now. i figured if i do it early i'll get the date and time i want. then i'll start with the other vendors around this time next year.
