I see that many of you have gone on your honeymoons to French Polynesia. I just went and looked up hotels and they are SOOOO expensive- do they offer rebates for honeymooners? How did you guys afford it??

It is pretty expensive there. Some people have higher budgets than others. You can try looking into alternative exotic places to go. Look into: Thailand- Phuket Maldives Fiji Brazil (Im going to nannai resort which has over pool bungalows- but a similar feeling to tahiti) Costa Rica

We got honeymoon rates in Tahiti. We are going in November, our agent quoted Honeymoon rates, and a variety of other specials at the resorts like free meals, free nights if you stay a certain amount of time like stay 5/pay 4 and even Starwood rates for the Sheraton properties. It seemed like there were alot of deals, we checked alot of resorts and wound up with a great price. It is still pretty expensive to go to Tahiti but we felt we got a good deal. We used a Tahiti Specialist who goes there all the time and was able to answer all our questions about the resorts. Anyway, you should check around and definately get a specialist! We are so excited!
