I have 99 days until my wedding (yipee), but I am starting to think...how am I paying for all this? 6 more paychecks, and I can only use part of 3 of them...I must be in a fantasy land? Anyone else fretting?

I thought about that as well. I'm a teacher at night and now that school's over I don't get a paycheck anymore for that. Thank heavens for my day job....I think we'll be ok. Wish you luck!

Charge everything you can on a credit card with low/no interest and/or one that gets you airmiles. Then pay it off later.

same here i used all my hm $$ to pay for our new apt, down payment on FH's car and for supporting ourselves for 2 months without paychecks after graduation ... i dont know how we will resave it PLUS the extra money we need

I know what you mean, if we really get stuck we can always take a small loan from his annutiy and pay it back.

I worry about my part but luckily FH has enough money to foot the bill and we'll figure it out after but still I want to be able to do m y part by the wedding and I am having trouble saving

We worry about this CONSTANTLY. To the point where I was using soooo much sleep I couldnt function. Luckily fh has been working a tun of overitme... plus started a small side buisness and I recently went back to work... and with ALL THAT its still gunna cut it VERY close!! My FILS have offered whatever we cant make they will lend to us and we can pay them back out of wedding gifts or our income tax we will get the month after the wedding.
eta. we dont really believe in putting any wedding expenses on our credit cards. we dont want to get stuck paying for it forever or having to pay intrest on it. I have had to pay cash for EVERYTHING so far

I am so glad someone posted this. I have another year + and I freak out almost all the time. It is hard when you are paying for the entire event yourself. But for some reason everyone just keeps saying it will work out....so maybe on my day I'll listen!

Thank you everyone...We have a savings, but mentally, I am using only that for the reception, everything else i want to do in cash, and charge as little as possible...i got a seperate card w/ no interest until September..but if worse comes to worse that savings will be plucked on and hopefully we can reimburse it...but that is the only savings we have and I want to buy a house soon.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am not alone. I have a year and a half and I keep booking all these vendors and I get more nervous with each one I book. My parents said they will loan us any money we can't come up with but I really would hate to have to take money that we make from the wedding to repay my parents.
