I am officially a working Mom

Maria & I got through the first day, that 's the good part. She didn't have any huge meltdowns, which I was so afraid of ... that's good too. And I actually got through the day with fewer meltdowns that I expected. So I guess you could call it successful.

Everyone keeps saying that it gets easier. I guess we'll see. Right now, I'm going to live for 3:00 ... until Easter break when I'll be off for 10 days.

BTW ... I have decided, without a doubt, to stay home for at least a year after the next baby is born! So did I mention that we'll be TTC ASAP?!!!! They say that you're the most fertile when you're nursing ... I say ... bring it on!!!

So glad you made it through the day!! I'm still a SAHM so I honestly don't know what it is like but congratulations to you!! And good like with the TTC!

I am glad you got thru okay!!!! tomorrow is my in-office day

nursing can either be great bc or help w/TTC. with 2 you will have enough work...no need for any outside work too!

Thanks everyone. I'm not really feeling all that positive about this, but I know its what I have to do right now. I'm trying very hard to keep that 'stiff upper lip' thing going. Seriously, though, I don't want to give the baby the impression that there's something wrong ... I don't want it to be any harder for her than it has to.

I went back to work too - and I said the same thing about my 2nd - I'm going to stay home for at least 1 year.
It's hard going back to work - and it does get easier however, it's been 11 months for me - and I still wish all the time that I was home.

Aw Christine, how I know and feel your pain. I know everyone says it gets better, but I personally don't feel that way. The good thing for you is that your day isn't as long and you'll be able to leave by 3. I'm gone almost 12 hours a day.

I am glad to hear you made it thru the first day. It will never be easy but hopefully over time it will get a little less heartbreaking. WOW #2 already, you are a brave woman!!
