I am one confused woman

I am one confused woman

To make a long story short, my hall doesn't include the chair covers or sashes so therefore I would have to go with the florist to provide it. There prices for just sashes is ridiculous overpiced. I went ahead and purchased them myself. They finally arrived today at my job and the color totally looks different from the website. I brought them home to compare color with the swatches. Before heading home I stopped at the store and when I went to pull out my wallet, I noticed the sashes were a different color while I was at the store. I get home and the color is different. I don't know what's going on but I think this bride is getting color blind LOL.

Has that ever happened to you ladies with colors? I feel like I'm going crazy here. Outside it's one color and inside it's another. I just don't get it.

No your not carzy. Color looks differnt in differnt lighting. Also, at the reception it will be darker too so you might be able to get away iwth teh swatches that might be off by a little.

colors sometimes change thier shade in different light.

If you look at a swatch in daylight, halogen light, or low light chances are it will look different.

depending on the fabric the shade can be somewhat off or drastically off....

next time your in a department store and buy a top check out how the color changes outside vs the store. Many clothing stores- walmark, macys use different lighting because its suppose attract customers to the garments - ie change the colors.

your not crazy! =)

my advise is when matching colors try to do it in lighting that your confortable with... if you are going to be using the fabric indoors then match the colors inside.

HTH!

Thanks girl. I thought I was loosing my marbles there for a minute LOL. The color of the organza sashes is Periwinkle with a shine to it so it could be the shine that's throwing me off. It could look purple one way and then blue the other and my color theme is blue. How nutty is that? But you girls are right though. I guess it all depends on the lighting. I think what I might do is go to the hall and play with the sashes there. What do you think? I'm also going to bring the candles I purchased as well which is Periwinkle too. But I have to say the candles look more blue then purple. The story behind this color is I have my girls in Blue Jay which is known as Periwinkle blue at some places. Never thought this color would make me go nutty
