I am ready to panic!

I am ready to panic!

Ladies, please help... I just had, I purchased my dress from kleinfeld's in August,2004 it was like my dream came true, the dress is by Cymbeline of Paris and it was a sample dress on sale. I drove from Massachusetts to get this dress, I was aware that this is was a final sell and since it was missing some parts, a top lace, I even got discount. When my dress arrived I have noticed some problems with a top (it is two pieces dress) but because my wedding is going to be in June 2005, I just kept it in the box up till now, today when I open the box again I have noticed from the back a big hole on the lace part on the bodice, which totally divested me it is a very expensive dress $1800 and it has a hole after all! I did email to the owner about my sad discovery, but I am afraid they will pull something on me like.. It is final sale ...it have been in your possessions for long time....What really upset me, I paid a lot of money for all that trouble!

I recall the manager came to look at the dress, she took some measurements of me in the dress, but the hole is very saddle in the back I have noticed only after taking really close look.

Ok...don't panic. It can be fixed. I had the same thing happen to me with some lace (and silk when I bought my sample dress) the shop that I bought it from was only mildly accommodating until I actually got the dress. Kleinfelds may be different though. What I would suggest you do is what I did and what completely turned a very negative, horrible situation into a very positive one. I called the designer. He was so incredibly accommodating. He even sent me over 2 yards of silk just so I could replace the whole back of the dress. The designers have somewhat of a stake in you looking good because first and foremost they are artists and really get pleasure out of making the brides look stunning on their day, and second you are a walking billboard. Call Kleinfelds and call the designer. Let us know how it goes.

also lace really is easy to fix and not even noticable. I couldn't even notice anything after mine was fixed
