I am really starting to freak out....

I have been having the worst nightmares about my FH's family ruinging our wedding. We have not spoken to his mother and brother since Christmas and they say they are not coming to the wedding which would be fine with me. I keep dreaming that they show up and cause a big scene. His sister is a drug addict looser who hates me (feeling is mutual) and she is the type of person who will show up all high and drunk and purposely go out of her way to ruin the wedding. My Fh and his sister have had several physical fights in the past. I have never experienced people like this in my whole life. ughhh What would you ladies do if you were in my situation to prevent them from ruining your day??

Wow, that's horrible! Is there really anyway you'd be able to prevent it though? Could you possibly warn someone at your RH and church of these people so that if they try to show up on your day, they can prevent them from entering..

i have heard of people hiring security and giving them pics of people who are NOT to be let in...just a thought if it really worries you...i am sure there are many retired cops/off duty cops that you could hire for a reasonable fee who are used to dealing with people like this...good luck!!!

Not sure what to do to keep them out other than hire security, that sounds a little drastic but it may be worth it. Sorry you have to deal with this.

ditto. at the very least give the maitre d' a pic of FSIL and let them know--she is NOT allowed in.

Here is the thing, FH wants to invite these people to wedding and give them the benefit of the doubt. I understand that it is his family, but all I do is stress about this now. I am dealing with trashy people.

I have very similar concerns for my wedding. I spoke to the BM at my hall. I'm having a sit-down with my maitre'd and bartenders before my wedding discussing these issues and I'm giving them pictures. I also have connections with club bouncers so I might hire 2 of them to come and be security.

I totally know how you feel and it's horrible. I hope we both have great wedding days and we were worrying for nothing!
