I am sad and depressed!

It may seem silly to you girls, but FH and I love soccer and are planning on going to the World Cup in Germany for our honeymoon.

Tickets are VERY hard to come by and the organizing body of world futbol (FIFA) held a lottery to sell the tickets, which you have to send in an application for.

to make a long story short, we submitted 3 applications and NONE of them were selected!

we will try to get a few tickets some other way, and if we are completely unsuccessful, we will go to Germany just to be around it anyway, but it still REALLY *****!

I can imagine, I was into soccer a lot before. I even when to a game when they had they world cup here. hang in there, have you tried Ebay?

Aww, that really does stink!!! I'm not into soccer but I can understand your disappointment. At least you can make the best of it and be near the games.

FH just emailed me...he is so upset...more than me. Argentina is his team...soccer is practically our life....

we've been to the WC in France, Japan...somehow I will get him tix to see Argentina...

NOBODY makes my baby SAD!

WOW thanks for letting me in on this... FH LOVES SOCCER TOO and would like to go to germany with his brother father and some friends before wedding for 'bachelor ' party They are waiting to see if Ecuador gets in!

He needs to get on the ball if he is planning on going!

Ecuador is one of the countries that hasn't sold out yet. There is another round of ticket selling coming up on may 2nd.

I played on a semi-pro team for the longest! Absolutely love football! (Sorry, soccer) - so used to the Euro way of the sport!

I think it's fantastica, and I really hope you get them!

you were right the first time...it's FUTBOL or Il Calcio or Fussbol.....not soccer....what the hell is soccer anyway...and where did that name come from!

Anyway, a friend of ours actually got ONE ticket to the games we wanted...so if worse comes to worst, we will buy them and FH will go...even though he said YOU WILL COME WITH ME....I thought that was sweet!

I'm so sorry! Did you take a look on Ebay? We found tix on there alst year for the Rose Bowl pretty easily. Not as big as the WC, but it's worth a shot.

AWWW don't worry! My fiance is British and we too may be going to germany. I will see what he can do. I am going to England the 27th to the 4th. I'll see if he can get some-he has some contacts, I cannot promise anything, but I'll try!

Oh wow Jessica....sorry to hear that none of your applications were selected for the soccer tickets. I hope you end up getting them because I had read in one of your posts how bad you had wanted them. Good luck to you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!!
