My cousin refused to walk my grandmother down the aisle. Supposedly he is insulted that he isn't in the bridal party. He is 40 years old and has been married twice, neither time I was in the bridal party.
How come everyone else can do whatever they want but I have to hear sh*t about my decisions?

stick to your guns!! you offered to have him participate, and he declined, even if it was rudely, so have another cousin or uncle escort your grandmother down the aisle. this is your wedding, it is NOT your job to please everyone - and we all know that's not even possible!!!

I cannot believe he's refusing to walk her down the aisle! That's mature. Do you have someone else that would be able to? Sorry you have to deal with this!!

Stay with what you want!! You can't please everyone and even though it stinks there are people who get offened in these situations over stupid stuff. My cousin wanted to be in the bridal party too but because we are having a small party he can't..we fixed it by having him walk my grandmother down and plus being a reader for the ceremony and he is fine with it. Keep your head up and stay with what you want it's your wedding not his.

I decided to have my aunt and uncle walk her down the aisle. But it's just the point, you were insulted that you weren't included. Now you are included and you refuse?
My aunt spilled the beans about him walking down the aisle before I got a chance. I was waiting to do it in person. So last week I left him numerous messages that he didn't return. Finally, I just sent out the invitation for the rehearsal dinner with a note. He called last night to say that they couldn't come to the rehearsal dinner. So I asked if he would walk our grandmother down the aisle and he said no. The rehearsal dinner is for people involved in the ceremony, if you aren't walking her in, then you are no longer invited.
