I just spent double of what my FI and I agreed upon for buying each other Christmas presents! He only really wanted one thing but he knew it was out of the price range. I couldn't think of anything else to buy him so I ran out this morning and got it. It so unromantic.....a table-top miter saw but it is want he talked about needing because he wants to custom build us a new bed. Of well....now I just have to worry about how to pay for it when the AMEX bill comes in!
FH and I had a limit on how much we could spend to since we just bought a home. It wouldn't be Christmas without exchanging some real gifts (not paint and rollers!). He keeps asking me to make sure I didn't go over the limit! Shhh! I went a few dollars over, but very little! (I hope he doesn't read this!)
it may be unromantic to us, but men love tools! mine does!
ha! FH & I set a buget too-but we went over a little-of course!! I must say though that I excercised extreme self-control on more than one occasion!!
