i am so bummed,,,

my brother called, he cant come to my wedding, his son graduates that day, and he lives three hours away. i am so sad.

yes, were having a day after dinner. but he is my older brother and were very close and i cant believe he wont be there. and i cant change anything. i cant believe this. something else to add more stress with 139 days to go. before this wedding happens i am going to be a nut case.

it is my nephews high school graduation, now none of his family will be there because they will be at my wedding, there will only be my brother(his dad) his mom and his lil brother.

There is a good chance that your nephew is as bummed as you are (for his 18 year old reasons). If your brother, his wife and children can come for the day after dinner, maybe you could do a little something special for him!!!?

This is going to sound nuts but call the school and ask if they can change the date. Explain the situation. We had a similar problem 2 years ago and got them to change the date. However, it was an elementary graduation and the principal made me swear I wouldn't tell a soul.
If it's a small high school and they have not printed any tickets or programs they just might do it. Tell them the boy is supposed to be in the wedding! It doesn't hurt to ask.

Wow, that's early for a HS graduation! Unless they aren't from the area.....

I agree with what others said about seeing if there's anything you can do hmm who would have thought with a wedding in the beginning of June, you would have to worry about graduations!!

Schools are closed on Monday (MLK day).
Ask to speak to the principal, not the AP. Don't share your request with the secretary -- say it's a personal matter. (Schoolhouse politics can be unreal). Let the principal know how devastated you are. Tell them that the boy and his father are in the wedding party ( a little fib).
Concert and graduation ceremony dates are changed all the time with no explanation. They just send out a notice.
