I just found out FH is going to Vegas for his bachelor party...his friends are even chipping in for his plane ticket and hotel....
I am sobbing right now because all my friends are doing is going to a lousy bar in Manhattan....when what I wanted to do was go to the wineries, but again....my bridal party wants to do what they want to do and not what I want to do....

at least you are having something. before i got married i had to fight to have a get together with my friends, no one showed, the place my moh picked stunk and i was miserable... meanwhile dh who traveled with me into the city met up with some people and they randomly ended up throwing him this awesome party and they all got drunk and had fun.... i would have had more fun with them. i was so jealous. i didnt have a shower or a bachelorette party and i had to arrange myself one day with friends and it didnt even work out and yet dh who wasnt even going to come with me had a ball. i was disappointed. it hurt for at least a month, im not going to lie. i was upset and bitter. but then i realized ... whatever... it just goes away with time. you have a right to feel hurt and upset but dont take it out on your fh and dont let it ruin your planning.

I know it's hard, but try not to compare. It doesn't mean they care about you less. I'm sure they'll take care of you during your bachelorette.

It can be so tough when you know what you want to do, but no one is on the same page. I wanted to go to the wineries too, but only one of my BM's wanted to do that too. Try to enjoy whatever it is that you are going to do...and remember what you have been planning and working so hard for...your WONDERFUL wedding day!!! It is going to be GREAT!

Same boat here. FH's friends are planning a trip to the CARIBBEAN (4 day trip), meanwhile I am not even having a bach party because my best friends are 2 gay guys and my other female friends are already married w/ kids and already distanced away, and the others are not close enough to be part of my bridal party.

I will go to the wineries with you. Any excuse to drink especially when I'm this stressed out works for me. I'm sure other LIW girls would go.

this is exactly why i planned my own bparty... not that i thought my bp would pick something i didnt want to do ... but its my party why should someone else come up with the idea
