Today at work my co-worker was talking to the head of the HR dept., (which is our boss) who is on maternity leave. She was discussing going to visit her and she said that her and Jodi (another person in HR) would be coming to visit her soon. I am very offened that I wasn't included by this! I have been here for almost 6 months. They have all been here for years, but regardless, I still think it was rude to leave me out! I don't feel like part of the department now. Should I be offended? Maybe I should mention that if they ever go to see her, I would like to see her as well. Anyone have any advice?

Re: I am so insulted
I understand your being hurt, but give them a chance. Like you said they have all worked together for years. They might have a strong outside of work bond. They might not realize that you are interested in going. I would mention in passing that you were wanting to go see her. I doubt that it was done to exclude you they probably just didn't think things through well enough.
