I am so Mad at my FSIL.

Here's some backround. My FH dad side of the family don't talk. For some reason FFIL brothers and sister dont come to any parties or call or anything we have no idea why. It started with our E-Party not one of them showed up. One of them sent a card. When it came time for the wedding list FSIL said I wouldnt invite them. Well I am inviting them Im better then that. Then she said I wouldnt invite their snot nosed kids. Well all my cousins are invited so they have to be invited.

I gave my Maid of honor (FSIL is my matron) the shower list. The aunts and cousins were all on the list. I talk to my Maid of honor today and I said so how hard of a time is she giving you about inviting the aunt. She says FSIL said they probably wont come. O yeah and I didnt invite the kids. WHAT????? I said why not. They were on the list ya but FSIL said not to. I said I wanted them invited cause I am inviting all of my cousins to the shower and the wedding his cousins are all older then my cousins. I am a better person then that. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MAD I AM AT HER. Who is she they shouldnt have asked for a list. What makes it even worse is that FSIL and I
are very close we are like sisters.

Apperantly all the invites have gone out already.

My Friend is pretty annoyed with her also cause she keeps saying they are 5. The have 4 kids 3 girls and a boy. My friend said she keeps saying she is bringing her son. There is no reason for a little boy to be there. He is my godson and our RB but she is right why does he have to be at the shower (besides the fact that hes 2 and a terror)

your right, there is no need for a little boy to be there, he will probably just get bored since it will be all women...

Sorry!! If I were you, I would tell my MOH to secretly send out invites to the cousins right away. Its not right that your FSIL decided it was a bad idea to invite them after you gave them a list of who you wanted invited. Because when it comes down to it, if they get wind that the other cousins were invited and they were not, they aren't going to be mad at your FSIL, they wiill think it was you that didn't invite them and they'll be mad at you.

Sorry to hear what you are going through w/your FSIL....I understand that she knows her own side of the fam better then you, BUT, it is your day and she should invite every women on your wedding list to your shower. let the guests decide if they want to come or not. you are being the bigger person and i def give you credit for that.

I agree, your being the better person in this situation, ya never know they might surprise you and come!

I just called my cousin. She said she will call my MOH and have her mail out invites ASAP!


I hope she does.
