I am so not a Bridezilla!

My mom just called me. The alteration place my mom took her dress to hemmed it too short! nothing you can do now, right?

instead of just above the floor, they hemmed it ankle length.

My mom was SO upset, almost in tears. But I calmed her down.

I could kill them though, for doing that to her, but no use crying over spilled milk.

well even with a lower heel, the dress is to her ankles. she definitely has to get new shoes anyway because the other one's she wanted to wear were a different shade of silver, now the shoes have to match.

Iwould call them and tell them that since it was their fault and that since it cannot be fixed, THEY MUST get your mom a new dress for free and to fix it ASAP.

It’s a place she has gone to in the past to have other clothes altered. and they conveniently don't understand English very well when there is a problem.

My wedding is next weekend, there isn’t time for a new dress. Besides, my mom bought a sample… there are no more left

I am so sorry. That stinks, but I am sure that your mom will be beautiful and radiant in anything that she will have on.

That is the best attitude to have. People will be looking at YOU, not your mom's hem.

nah, I think ankle length is fine. any shorter and it would be a less formal dress.

That really stinks, I can't believe it!! for your mom!!!!!! And kudos to you for calming her down, you're a good daughter.

I know what you mean about some people 'conveniently' not knowing how to speak English when there's a problem. She'll look beautiful tho either way, no matter what she'll be beaming on your special day!!

I agree that you should ge a whole bunch of $$ back or a new dress! That is terrible. I am so sorry :( Complain though. That is just so wrong :(

maybe they didnt cut off too much and they can let it out! if not they should get a new dress asap!!! charge you nothing for alterations, and if you bought the dress from them they should take $$ off... That is really wrong!!! i dont understand how they could do that if they pinned it up in a fitting... that is horrible!! i think if anything would annoy me the most is a too short hem!!!
