She says 'It's too late'
I must've looked like one of those cartoons, you know with the steam coming out of my ears.
I told her 'It's not, actually. You could just give me £2.70.'
She did, but she gave me a nasty look.
What is wrong with people????!!!

Oh, i'm not sure of it's lazyness or overall cluelessness.
I stopped giving change a long time ago because I could hear the gears in their head coming to a collective screeching hault
No wonder why we are no longer #1 in the world if most people can't even make accurate change.

I always feel kinda bad for those people because you know they have to take their shoes off if they want to count over 10.

Maybe she didn't want to figure out how much change to give you. Or even worse she might not have realized she CAN do that. I leave alot of stores going 'Why the hell do they hire these people?'
