I AM SO PISSED AND HATING PEOPLE...

We came home from a day of shopping today to see that my fiance's SUV which was parked since last night had been broken into... the passenger window was completely broken out and ALL of his stereo equipment was gone... stereo, speakers, amp, etc... the cop came and didn't even get out of the car!!! The stupid people even left their 'weapon'... HELLO FINGERPRINTS!!!!! We feel so violated... and this happened in our apartment complex... words just cannot express how ****ed we are.... just had to share in case anyone else lives in a complex like we do... please be aware that this stuff happens...

I am sorry to hear about that. I will never forget the time that my FH prelude with all stereo equipment was stolen while he was in the gym working out. Cops came like 2-3 hours later and acted like it wasn't that important.

that so stinks so bad. I am so sorry to hear that. My house was recently broken into and they cleaned me OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
All my jewelry (except for my e-ring which i always wear), stereo equipment, etc......
So, I know EXACTLY how you feel about being violated, it will take a while but you will slowly begin to feel better. The anger will last quite a bit longer though -- It is SUCH a horrible feeling. The only way for me to look at it was - it could have been worse....

Oh my God! That's just horrible!! People can be so thoughtless and cruel, it's just amazing. At least you are both OK. I guess you can never be too careful anymore!! Yikes!!

So sorry to hear about your problem fellow kitten.

Unfortunately the same thing happens here in the UK. My own car was broken into 3 days after I got it. The only reason you call the police is if you need a crime number to make an insurance claim. They dont bother investigating ,,

Its so maddening but try concentrate on the happier things to come soon like your wonderful wedding

I'm so sorry to hear that! Our house was broken into, so I know how violated you feel!! It makes you doubt people for a while - but try and concentrate on all the good things to come.

I'm sorry to hear this happened! Something similar happened to FH and I while we were in Philly a couple years ago. The police were obnoxious!! They said they couldn't come down to investigate b/c we didn't have a residence or a hotel room (we were stopping for lunch before driving home). We tried a few different things to get them to come down, including going to a friends house, but they never came. They told us to call the police when we get home?!?! Ugh! In the end about $150 of our things were taken, but not the really good stereo. Probably the cost to fix the window was the most. I hope everything works out alright for you in the long run.

:( I'm sorry to hear that...

Its very violating...i had a car broken into...and they did not take ANYTHING...but caused $1200 in damages (8 years ago)

My parents house was broken into as well when I was living with them...and I had nightmares about them coming in again...

but if you can look at the bright side...we were happy that my dad didn't come home in the middle of it (about 30 min later)...b/c he would have tried to stop them and who knows what kind of weapons they had...

I did have my apartment broken into once when I lived alone, it was the worst feeling ever, they cleaned me out. The police came over and acted like I practically deserved it for living on the 1st floor. The nerve
They can be very insensitive

to me, and no offense to any ladies here, but alot of cops get paid to do nothing.

my ex has his convertible mustang stolen right out of the driveway in broad daylight. Two of his neighbors were outside and saw the thives, got a desciption, and even got the plate numberof the other car they came in!!!
HELLO!?!?
What did the cops do???? NOTHING!!

me and my ex got the plate # ran from a friend, and we ourselves went to the address of the plate #. We saw the thieves and even saw his car!!!!!!! They drove it and left again!!!! We called the cops and they came and said 'Oh it can be anywhere now'
Can you say a$$???
Thats only oneof the reasons ( i have more) of why I do not have any respect towards police officers anymore

Thank you all for your sympathy!! We are a bit better today, but he is still really upset.... we got to really see what happened today since it was daylight... they were so careless.. I have so much evidence if only I could do fingerprint and dna testing! We are going to keep our eyes out for anything going on because we think we have a clue what people might have been a part of this... we'll see! Thanks again for the support! I really needed to vent!!

is there fingerprints or did they use gloves?

These sh*theads will break into your car to steal anything. I don't spend alot of time in the car so I have the crappy original radio (car is an '85!), no fancy stereo, cd player, nothing of value. But I've had my windows broken 5 times and my locks picked more times than I can remember. They take change from the ashtray, go through the glovebox to see what's in there, etc. Now I pay for a garage spot every month. I have friends who think I'm paranoid because if we go out and I'm driving I make them lock any packages they have in the trunk. I don't leave anything even remotely tempting on the seats. And I live in a 'nice' neighborhood!
