I am so sad

I broke my foot 2 weeks ago and I went to the doctor for a check up and to get an x-ray. The normal healing time for a broken bone is about 6-8 weeks. I broke my foot 7 1/2 weeks before the wedding. Yesterday he tells me that this will heal in about 2 months... that means like 8 weeks, which means it will still be broken for the wedding... I was a mess yesterday and I'm still upset about it today.

I know there could be worse things that could happen, but I'm just so mad and sad and all of my emotions are coming out now...

I am so sorry to hear that but maybe he is giving you the worst case scenario. You still have over a month to heal. Just try and stay off of it as much as possible and nurse it more than you usually would.

I broke my foot a week before my bat mitzvah (a long time ago) and by the time the day came, I was so excited and happy that I danced and did anything and didn't notice that my foot hurt.

Stay positive and don't let this bring you down!

Just now a few of my co-workers came over to see what the doctor said... and I start crying in the middle of the office... ughh... I Need to get over this. I just think I'm very emotional right now, considering this is the first time I'm really crying about the broken foot....

I'm so sorry!!! But I agree, it's possible he's giving you worse case scenario knowing your wedding falls in that time. If he told you it would definitely be better before the wedding and it wasn't you'd be much more upset then. Maybe you'll be in a walking cast by then either way?

Awwww....... I am so sorry to hear this BUT I do agree with the other ladies that your doctor was trying to give you the worst case scenario!! I think by your wedding you will be ok!!!

Are you in a boot right now? If so, would it be a possibility for you to wear flats or maybe even a decorated pair of sneakers so you could at least walk down the isle without it?

Heal up quick!!

If it were me... i would make an appointment two days before the wedding to have the cast removed. Screw it.... I would deal with the lingering pain for my wedding and honeymoon.

I would just be limping on the dancefloor.
