This afternoon I found two lumps on the side of my neck. Driving home from Pre-Cana I found two more. One behind my ear and the other under my jaw. I am so scared. I looked on the internet and Hodgkins Lymphoma is scaring me. I recently have been getting night sweats and I thought it was nerves but I never had them before. I am so scared. Thanks for letting me talk about it. I am going to the DR on Friday
**Updated: Thank you all for your well wishes My blood work came back and I have to go to another dr. Monday. They are pretty sure I don't have cancer but the vile of blood they really needed for that test broke during transport. You think they would have told me that when it happened. They want me to go for a chest x-ray tomorrow because they think that I have had pneumonia all this time. Real nice. Don't ever go to a walk-in clinic! They are the worst. I feel a little better but I will feel even better after they tell me officially that it is only pneumonia. I can live with that

i actually had some weird lumps recently on my neck in the places you described... they felt like hard, small pebbles under my skin, not red or anything, so it was not a pimple... They lasted for a week or so, and then vanished. It seems they happen occassionally around my period... are you near your cycle?

sometimes stress can do wacky things to our bodies. i would get it checked out so you can have piece of mind

Don't worry It is probably swollen glands. I have them myself! They can be caused by infections like mono or ear infections. It is possible that it is from cancer that chance of that is much less than you just havig swollen glands from an infection. Go to the dr. just to be sure though... and try not to worry so much.

i am like queen of swollen glands...you just have to keep them in check and be careful.
if it is cancer (which i am sure it's not) it's best to get it taken care of sooner than later.

I went through the thing with the swollen glands and the testing for lymphoma etc.
1st - do not do anymore research on the computer ( you will make yourself CRAZY)
2nd - try to take it easy- it could be a low lying infection that your body is trying to fight. Have you been to the dentist lately- Do you have a canker sore in your mouth ? Are you stressed etc?
Try to take it easy- jot down any ?'s you think of so you leave nothing out. I am sure you are fine-

I agree, I get swollen glands all the time, and have freaked myself out worrying about it before. I get them on the neck, especially clustered under the jaw. I am sure it is nothing! The internet is a bad, bad thing when looking up symptoms! I had a bump on my eye a few weeks ago and went to the eye doctor--I was totally convinced I had eye herpes (I don't have herpes, and never knew you could get it in your eye until I looked on the web! Turns out if there are herpes viruses on a door knob and you touch it, then touch your eye you can get eye herpes and go blind!). Anyway, it was just a virus and I needed drops, and I am sure yours is nothing. It is good you are going for peace of mind, but try not to worry too much until then!

I get these around my period as well!!! I also notice the lymph nodes around my groin swell during that time too (gross)
I also have a history of acne. My Dr. said even though I don't get pimples anymore my lymph nodes can still be fighting the acne infection.

It could very well be swollen glands or lymph nodes - you could just have a virus which is why you have night sweats - it is common to have when you are sick

someone I know had lumps/swollen glands and the dumb doctor scared us to death by saying it may be something serious...turns out it was just a virus that has been going around recently and all is well now!!

Thank you all very much! I went to the Dr today because I couldn't wait anymore. They took blood to check my counts and gave me antibiotics. They also are sending me for a chest x-ray. Why I'm not sure. Some of them are painful. I am not getting my period yet so I know it's not that. It's just weird because them seem to be getting worse and more of them. I will find out what's going on when the blood tests come back. Thank you all for your support
