and I'm not even in it yet!!!!!!!!!! I feel there is so much little stuff to do. Thank God there is nothing big too do. Last night I couldn't even sleep thinking about redoing the carpet on the stairs, getting a new ceiling fan, etc. etc. etc.

I am very stressed and anxious. Plus I am always running my mouth about what I want to do (and buy!) and DH reminds me that we're going to have to take it slow with regards to buying more furniture, etc.

Geez, we knew we needed a new septic tank and a new roof before we moved in, but I can't say we stressed over it. A ceiling fan was the least of our worries!

i wouldnt let it stress you it will get done. take it from someone that knew when i bought the house it needed 2 new baths and a new kitchen.

Amen!!! In the 4 years since I bought my house, we have completely gutted each room, one by one. Don't sweat the small stuff, because then the big stuff will kill you. Just take it all in stride, and try to find an aspect that you enjoy - and make the most of it. It really can be fun, if you're into it (I love home renovations - and could go into it as my next career!)

I had a dream that all of my teeth fell out; I looked up in a dream analyzing book, and that means i have anxiety over my home. (that I dont even have yet!!!!)

omg me too!! i cant stop wanting to get it all done and we are not closed yet! i TOTALLY know how you feel! did you start looking at furniture? talk about not sleeping...its driving me nutso. im obsessed. however, somehow fh is not as enthusiastic

When I get stressed, I remember how long it took my parents to finish their house. In reality, it takes years. Once you are done, you have to start over again too.
I also remember that I don't want to buy stuff to just fill the house. I want to wait to find the perfect thing for the house. That takes time.

I've been feeling the same way- we've only been in our house for five weeks and i feel so obsessed with fixing everything up! I feel like i went from planning the wedding right to the home buying process right to obsessing about decorating! I've got to learn to stop and relax and just enjoy things- i feel like i always need a 'project' to obsess about!

Rome wasn't built in a day... the best advice I can give you is to relax...
Also what you thought might be perfect in the house before you move in, will probably not be what you end up with... Get the feel of the house before you go on a buying frenzy.....

I know how you feel...but I think I'm more anxious than stressed...I CANT WAIT to get in there and start fixing up!!
