my son is 9 months old and he is barely crawling. then yesterday i went to visit some friends and their neighbor came outside with their 9 month son as well. and that little boy was walking, really really well, he did not even wobble once, he was already waving bye-bye and saying 'more' and 'done'. and then there is my little boy just sitting in his stoller. i know i should not compare babies, thats terrible. but i just got so upset :( thanks everyone for letting me vent.

I know how you feel!!!! Everyone says not to compare but its really hard. My son started walking early BUT started talking REALLY REALLY 'late' I was getting so upset and paranoid over it , and now he wont shut up!
At one point they will all even out. What one might pick up on faster, might have trouble with something else later.
My nephew is exactly 3 mos older then my son so it was really hard in the begining.. I was always comparing. Now at age 2 1/2 they are pretty much at the same level of what they do/say etc.

I can understand why you are upset but you also have to begin to 'train' yourself not to let the timing of other children reaching milestones upset you. Your son is just perfect, just the way he is. Someday your son will do something that another friend's child cannot do just yet. This is a life long issue that all of us have to deal with. I promise you....your son will do everything in due time

My daughter is nine months also and she barely crawls. She rolls everywhere. It is pretty funny to watch. My girlfriend's daughter(who crawls) is a few days older then my daughter and it is sooo hard not to compare. I was worried because her daughter is clapping her hands already and my daughter isn't. I joked about it with my friend. But, every baby is different. My daughter is doing great and so is my friend's daughter. If every baby did things at the same time, it would be boring. I TOTALLY understand your frustration.

To make you feel a little better my cousins son never crawled he didn't start walking till he was 15 months so its not a big deal all kids are different
