I am so upset!

I am so upset!

I had my mom call my church today to see if they would allow us to have a string trio for the ceremony. HE SAID NO! Yet, I know other Greek churches that do allow it. He said that it was his discretion and he doesn't believe in any instrument (or CD player with music) within the church but the organ. The little girl who plays the organ SUCKS! There is no way that I can have Canon in D when I walk down the aisle. Who knows what she can play! What am I going to do? Should I switch churches? Or am I being too emotional. By the way, the priest is a family friend! Ergh!

Ask if you can hire your own organ player? Try to get maybe a keyboard allowed?

Which church is this out btw?

I dont know much about Greek weddings..
Or church weddings for that matter...

But I intend to have Canon in D minor.. period.
If it were me I'd really explain this to the clergy.. and try to fix this or I'd book elsewhere.

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville. I grew up in that church-my father was the first president. It's not like they don't know us. I am furious! Bridezilla is here.

I just called another Greek church that does allow the music. They have a baptism penciled in. They are going to call them and see what time they wanted it for. If they can have my wedding there at 2 p.m. -then I am switching churches!

OMG I didnt realize that the GO churches have a problem with a CD player or a actual musiciains!! I need to find out myself abotu my church. I am glad that you found a church that allows you though. I woudl think a string trio wouldnt be considered bad - and you are still going ot have beautiful music playing.
