I am so sorry. Dont take it too personally though rescue organizations are super strict on homes mainly because the dogs surrendered have come from horrible places, they go beyond their call of duty to make sure they get a forever home. Are there any kennels or places like North Shore Animal league near you?

no, mostly private adoption/rescue places and then the public animal controls

are you sure that it's not a problem with that specific pug that you are applying for? I can't see a rescue organization applying such a rule in every case. I know some dachshund rescuers who definitiely have bigger dogs in the house along with their dachshunds.

this is true especially the pug group I belong too be do home visits first and if they do have a bigger dog we do keep that in mind!! Don't worry about it!! Something will come along!!
