OMG!!! SO yes Chris (FH) said YES to Sept 27th 2008!!!
He finally agreed omg i am soo happy and he agreed saying that if i didnt mention anymore about getting our own apartment and live in the apartment that is above FH's parents house until we can afford our own house (probably be about 2 yrs after we get married -well according to FH) so I said OK we live there until we can afford a house!!!
So our wedding is Sept 27th 2008-- hopefully I can find a RH now....
YAHHHHH!!!
oh but p.s i am mad because FH said his parents are going to be mad about it now. his dad thinks we are too young and blah blah and now that we are pushing it up from May of 09 to Sept of 08 his Dad mostly will give him **** about it and me of course while FH is in Japan but FH said his dad will get over it...

i had the same prob. my mom thought 2008 was too soon.. but then i reminded her that she wasny paying for anything and ultimately its our decision anyway.. she got used to it... and you still have more then a year!

One of the first things I had to learn is I don't need my parents permission anymore. I want their love and their blessings and yes sometimes approval. But just remember it is yours and FHs wedding. Find a balance between pleasing yourselves and pleasing others or else this will be you

thanks that is very true...and i have always tried to please my parents and i am kinda tired of it haha so i am looking more to please Fh and I first i know it sounds selfish but we are paying fot it
