I got a phone call from my daughters school @ 12 ish and they said there pipes in the school burst and my daughters class was the class it overflowed into( out of the toilet) go figure thats my luck so the principal says I have to come up right away and bring another jacket for my child b/c it is SOILED!! I went to put her jacket in a bag and it was soaked with water and obviously poo and pee I threw it out !! I am not washing that and putting it on my child ewwwwe so should I ask them to compensate me for what I payed for it ?? I just bought it 4 mnths ago

Definately that is what they have insurance for they should reimburse you for any damaged items.

Sory about that! I would have them pay for a new jacket. My day was just as bad as yours. My son's school called me at 12:15, and said that the heat was NOT working in the school, so they sent them to the middle school. Ummmmmmmmmm, hello, why didn't you call me, and ask permission before you sent him there? He sat in the gym for 6 hours, watching movies. Yeah....does it sound fun for a child ? Of course....but the movies were old, and he missed a WHOLE day of work I'm pissed. So tomm, I raise some sh!t as soon as I drop him off.

I would write them a letter or something. They're going to file all damages with their insurance so I would anticipate that they would be prepared to have a number of parents contact them with damages....

Yeah I would contact the PTA and try to get the whole class compensated. Your voices will be louder if you are united!
