I am struggling with table numbers

I have the idea in my head, but I can't get it right.

on red paper, the number in black

on vellum, our names/monogram in red.

this is then to be placed in a frame (4x6ish) to go on tables.

using heart shaped hole punch will allow red to show through....crudely, it works, but when i tried to make them last night it just wasn't working.

maybe i was too tired...but maybe if FH had let me work on it over the weekend when i wasn't too tired...

I was also going to do jut rose petals and votives for CPs, but due to size (not enough room to make it stand out), i think it might look too plain....I am now thinking adding a pillar and hurricane glass to the center??? how does this sound?

What is not working? The look or the cutting part.

What if you print them on larger paper, put them together, and then cut them to size?

That's a good idea! You could get a paper trimmer.

i have one....but i stink at using it.

i was thinking of just printing things out and then taking the 'glass' from the frame and an exacto knife/rotary paper cutter to trim them exactly...then i know they are centered as well...think this will work? i hope so.
