I Am Stuck Doing Everything!

I Am Stuck Doing Everything!

I feel like I'm stuck with all the responsibilities for this wedding. I dropped off the invitations last Friday which was a 40 min. drive. I don't have time to do it tonight or tomorrow after work, and I'm going away with my friend on Saturday and coming back Tuesday. If FH could drive with me today or tomorrow, I would go because I'm afraid of getting lost since I went with my friend last week, but he doesn't want to go. Then I asked him to pick them up, and he said he'll see if he can. It shouldn't be you'll see if you can, it should be 'yes I'll do it' as he has till freaking Tuesday. Then he has the balls to say why don't you pick it up on your way to or from MD? We're going in a completely different direction!

I'm just really upset with him and don't like how he appears to think that he doesn't need to do any of it. I'm so frustrated. I don't know what to do.

I think most girls are more involved with wedding planning in general that their FH... he should try to help when you need him...but don't get too upset if you feel you are doing more... I know that I have done much more planning than FH but I am just trying to enjoy it all...

Just to clarify, I meant I dropped off invitations last Friday to calligrapher. She also assembled them, but we still need to put the direction cards in them and seal them.

Re: I Am Stuck Doing Everything!

Men can be frustrating. When I ask my hubby to do something and he gives me a half a$$ed answer like that, I simply state that I wouldn't ask him to do it if I could do it myself. The other component is that I have to ask him to do the things I need done and be very clear about it. This took a while to be able to communicate this direct without thinking I was asking him to climb Mt. Everest for me. Start with, 'I need you to help me honey, please go to abc place and pick up the invites for our wedding by Tuesday. Hug him, kiss him and say 'you're the best!' I know this is a long reply but I hope it helps. Good luck and have fun this weekend.
