I am such a D*CK!

So I was making cupcakes tonight for someone's birthday at the deli (one of the customers) and I took them out of the oven and let them cool off... then I iced one and gave it to FH. He took a bite out of it and was like 'Umm I don't think these are cooked' and I said 'They have to be.. I even left them in a little longer than I should plus the toothpick came out clean so they are cooked'.

So I decide... let me put them back in for like 5 more minutes to make sure. Put them in, take them out and then let them cool again... still the inside of the cupcake felt verymushy and not held together very well.. I say screw it and I went on the couch to watch tv.

Then it hits me...

I FORGOT TO PUT THE DAMN EGGS INTO THE BATTER!

Worst part is I don't even have another box of mix so I guess I have to go get some pre-made cupcakes tomorrow LOL

I hate when I do things like that. I once forgot to add sugar to the cookies I was making and ended up with crackers. Lol it happens

Haha thats awesome! I have done the same kind of thing with a chocolate cake. I put the wrong kind of sugar in the mix. I didn't even know there were different types of sugar!!! So it tasted gross and I had to redo the whooooole thing. Because it was for my grandma's 90th birthday. It took me three tries before I finally made a cake that was edible.

problem solved this morning. I pretty bought all the decorating stuff with me to the deli this morning and took a box of cake mix from the store and made it there... it actually came out really nice and I was proud of my decorating job.

It was the customer's 75th birthday last weekend and no one in his family made him a cake so I felt bad. He was very happy when I gave the cake to him.
