i am such an idiot.....now i have to type with one hand

i was heating something up in the oven...instead of using oven mitts, i tried to be slick and use a dishrag....welllllllll it wasn't in the right spot and i pulled out a 450 degree pan with my bare fingertips. my sister actually had to take me to the ER (how embarassing!! I work there!!!) and I walked out with my hands both wrapped up lol....like a dork. They gave me dilaudid for pain when they did the dressing and now my stomach is killlling meeeeeeeeeeee!!!! The burn isn't too horrendous, but it started to blister a little (2nd degree) so i wanted to get it checked out. Tragically they said its gonna hurt for a few days. But i got a get out of work free pass.....i guess thats my silver lining???

eeekkkk..I had burned my arm about 2 years ago when a hot water bottle I was using exploded ....luckily for me the burns were primarily on my arm, but lets just say I won't be wearing a strapless nor sleevless dress when I get married....I had no idea that the hot water in the house was turned up to 180 degrees eeekkkk

Feel Better (for burn) (for no work) I always take things out of the oven with a dish towel. FH gets so annoyed with me when I do that. I guess I'll try not to do that anymore. Hope it heals up real soon.

awww. that really stinks about your arm. IDK if i would let that stop me from wearing the gown of my dreams though. I'm sure whatever you pick, you will look gorgeous!!! Thanks for the well wishes....it feels a little better today but my stomach is still queezy from that dilaudid they gave me.

Ouch! Lucky you don't have to work. That wouldn't be an excuse for me since I can work from home.

Take the dilaudid with food to decrease the stomach upset (if you aren't doing so already).

just wanted to say thank you to everyone....i took a few days off from LIW.....i just can't stand typing with one hand!!! But i'm back!! and Burn free!!! Wooohoooooooooooo!!
