I am terrible-NWR-need ideas now

Today is 5 year anniversary...we decided months ago that we would celebrate by just doing dinner and having a nice romantic night together... since we have our engagement night to celebrate and then our wedding... it becomes a lot..and also it was our birthdays last month...we are trying to save money for wedding and figured dinner would be sufficient...

well last night fh told me that he was excited to give me my presents...PRESENTS????????? ummm i thought we werent doing those... SOOO of course I am stuck now.... i hate when he tricks me ...beause this time we promised NO presents...just a night together...normally thursdays he has soccer til really late ...

WHAT should I get him I need ideas..>THANK GOODNESS I TOOK A PERSONAL DAY TODAY!

aww u remember he played soccer, that was awesome because many of my non LIW friends dont even know...

Actually something with soccer is a good idea... he does have a nice watch though

soccer soccer soccer LOL ....I know how you feel...our life revolves around it! LOL

why not get tix to a Metrostars game for this weekend or sometime soon. If you order them through ticketmaster, you can simply put the receipt in a card. that will guarantee you guys another nice time together...

or you could get him tix to see the US National Team play against Trinidad $ tobago in a WC qualifier in Connecticut....that game is for August 17 (Wednesday nt)

or you could go to foot locker and get him a cool jersey. I don't know about your FH, but not matter how many jersey's my FH has, he always find another that he likes.

or, offer to buy him a pair of cleets (or go half on a pair he's been eyeballing)

In my humble opinion, guys love it when you support their hobbies. it helps them feel like the still have an identity outside of your relationship.

I have more ideas if you need them!

I just found them are they only being sold as a presale right now... and to order them i need some special code from FICCA which I dont have.,.OH well... BUT, I think i will get them anyway when they do go on sale because he would love it!

You sound like you have some great ideas already going on here, so I'm not gonna suggest anymore. I just wanted to say that you are NOT terrible!! You 2 had an agreement and you shouldn't feel bad that he broke it and now you're stuck.

To tell you the truth I'd be a lil mad cause the $$ he spent on your presents (plural??) you really wanted to put towards the wedding. Sometimes they just don't get it!!

And don't worry, you weren't being demanding with the 'now'!
