I said that for the first time this weekend to my mom after a year and a half of planning. It felt really good. I am a stressed bride!

i said it!! a month or so before the wedding....it did not go over well! my mom was helping me pay so when i said it, it turned into but i am paying so dont i get a say kind of convo! other then that my mom was greattttt!!

I said this to my mom right b4 i sent out my invites and she hung up on me
She didnt call back or talk to me for about a week, it took her some time to realize it was my wedding and what i wanted not her, now we laugh at it,

We had an issue with my FH's grandfather turning his 20 person guest list into 50 and then when I told him he wasn't allowed to only invite the first born of each of his siblings to get the list down, he called my FSIL and said 'Who does that girl think she is?' Umm...I'm the bride!

I havent used that one yet. I have used the following though
'Is it your wedding. No. then hush!'
for FSIL I tend to say 'when it's your wedding you can do/have that. for me - not so much.'
