I am TRYING to become creative!

I am copying a pasting a pieces of things..

how is this?
For My Bridesmaid Michelle

In life there are old friends
and those who are new,
when choosing a bridesmaid
it had to be you.
From the moment we met
you've been the friend,
always close by
with a shoulder to lend.

So I thank you for all
your help and concern,
conversation filled days,
and all that I've learned.

Without you I don't know
what I would have done,
certainly not had
near as much fun.

In life there are old friends
and those who are new,
but none like the true friend
I've found in you.

Even though we don’t speak everyday
and I don’t see you as often as I would like
I would be honored if you would stand by me on a winter day
when my love is sworn to Ronnie.

i think it is nice, but the third paragraph sounds awkward. I do not think it flows. Just my opinion.

I also think the first paragraph should be split into two paragraphs. From the moment... should be a new paragraph. I see you put a period at the sentence before, so maybe you forgot to skip a line.
