I am trying to get a hold on what is reasonable for photography...

What did/are you paying for photography and then videography??

I paid a little more then 4k for photography and I think about 2500 for video

we are paying just under 5k with tax for 2 photographers and video, with couple albums, parent albums, e-shoot, etc.

I have seen some higher, and some lower, but we are happy with what we got (a little sticker shock, but happy)

We are still going to some meeting with photographers, but we have gotten 4K for photo and video (not including albums), close to 7K for photo and video but including bride/groom and parents albums, and $3500 for photos only (not video and no albums). When I first started out I had no idea it would cost so much, but the difference between the lower estimates and the higher has been explainable -- much better quality photos, second photographers too, etc.

we paid $1500 for main photog for 10 hrs and dvd of proofs and another $600 for 2nd photog for 4 hrs to do candids at house,ceremony and cocktail hr.

albums run 900-1100, little less, little more depending on number of images you want which you can wait to order until after the wedding.

and we were very pleased with the work.

But my photographer just increased her prices cause she's that good!

There really is a huge range depending on what you want, who you get etc. For example photojournalism (which most people get these days and Im getting) is much more money than a traditional album.

Also some albums have 30 pics some have 150 pics...parent albums, how many blown up pics you get..these all increase prices.

The best thing to do is shop around and decide on the package you want. Talking with the photographers you will get a better sense of what is right for you. Best of Luck!

We are paying 6k for photo/video.

Included is a photographer, photojournalist, videographer, and asst. for the entire day

We are also getting a lot of really cool extras in our package. (digital albums, brag books, dvd thanks yous, etc.)
