I am Undecided on what to do...Suggestions Please!!!

I still do not have a hair or make up person. I am undecided on if I want them to come to my home the day of or if I should go out and get it done.

I was thinking to go out for a bit, because I am sure it will be so chaotic.

I thought maybe go out to get my hair done then have someone come over to do my makeup.

I need Suggestions, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

IMO I would have both hair and makeup done in the comfort of my home.

This was what I orginially wanted to do, but I figured between me and my BMs and the rest of my family being at my home. It would be sooo hectic!!!!!

Well me and my BM and my mom stayed at a hotel the night before my wedding and the make-up artist and the hairstylist came to the hotel to get us looked after. To me it was the best thing.

I guess it depends on how much room you'll have if you have them come to your house. I'm getting ready in a large, 2-room suite at a hotel so I know I have space for both hair people, the makeup artist, me and my girls. If you think it would be too crowded in your house, then maybe going to a salon would be better.

I am getting ready in a hotel suite too...the hair and makeup people are coming to us. I think it will save time and will be more relaxing to have the stylists come to us. I don't want to have to worry about getting anywhere besides my hall the day of the wedding!

As one DOC said to me . . . on your day, have people come to you, do not go to them. As hectic as your house may be that day, how crazy would traffic make you???

For my sister's wedding hair and makeup came here. Everything was nice and almost completely calm (the arrival of the 5 year old twin ring bearers made it a little crazy).

For a friend's wedding all the girls went to the salon for hair and makeup. We (me, the bride, and another BM) got out of the house late, we got to the salon late, the traffic to get into Virginia Beach was nuts, and the bride was driving like a lunatic. I hit a squirrel trying to keep up with her so I didn't get lost.

I would definitely get someone to come to your home for both makeup and hair. It is so easy. I am having a hard time finding a place that is open on SUndays. I can't have anyone come to my house because I don't have air conditioning (only in bedrooms), and I figure it might be really hot in June.

I am having hair and makeup come to me in my hotel suite. I am having breakfast brought in and at least my 2 MOH are staying with me. Two other BM are OOT so they will be there already, the other 4 BM can arrive at 6-6:30, even 7:00 and it should all work out. This made it easier for me with my 5 am start in Feb and my little house!

I'm covering my BM makeup and have a hair trial with someone who seems to have good prices for the BM, I just need a different person for mom and I due to time issues.

Consider your situation and what is easier/cheeper. For my 1 MOH wedding at 3:00 in August we didnt' have a problem going to a salon for hair and makeup and it's a little less costly.

i think i will have some one come to me in my home and i will offer up their services to my girls (i think i found someone who is affordable enough). i am pretty sure all my girls but my moh will use her. i will feel better knowing that we are all getting ready together instead of worrying if they are running late for some reason (i have some girls that are habitually late, so if i can have them in sight all morning, it will ease the stress of worrying about their whereabouts!). whatever you decide will work out. ask your girls what they want to do! i tol my moh about my idea and she asked me if it would be ok for her to go to a salon bc she only uses one stylist for her hair and thats fine by me of course. ~lacey

That's exacly why I paid for MU and am arranging a hair person for them- but with later starting weddings I would be more relaxed. FH fought me on paying for the makeup but understands now. I will lure them with food too!

Well I just know that on the day of my E-PartyI was so nervous...I blew out my tire as I raced to get my hair/makeup done It was stupid of me but I was so nervous...I decided that I don't want to be stressed out driving some where on my wedding day so they are coming to me
