I am very proud of myself ...

I was at my sister's yesterday and had several occasions to sneak a peek at her emails for details about my shower (she just asked me for an address list, so I know invites are going out soon), and I DIDN'T!!!! I want to be surprised but I also love to know this stuff. I needed to use the computer but her inbox was up on the screen so the minute I saw that I called to her, 'Do you want to come in here and minimize your email so that I don't see anything I am not supposed to?' And she did, and I did NOT look.

I will be 31 in a few weeks ... I guess I am showing restraint in my old age.

Congrats!!!! You should be proud of yourself!!!! The best part about a shower is trying to figure out when it is.....so not looking was awesome!!!! Keep the surprise alive!!!!!!!

Congrats! I am finding I am getting the same way as I get older. My MOH just asked me for the last of the addresses, and I was thinking about peeking...but I didn't! YAY!

Oh no I will do that. If I figure out when the shower is based on things people tell me or when people buy gifts, that's one thing. I just didn't want to see any dates, etc by being sneaky.

I think it's in early to mid august, actually. My FMIL lives in FL but in late July they are coming up this way to go away with friends in upstate NY, and then staying here for 2 weeks or so ... and I am sure my mom has talked to her and worked it out so that it's on a date she is in NY, rather than making her come up again just for that. And, if they are mailing the invites soon, a month and a half from now makes sense.

This kind of 'figuring out' I love!!!
