I ask for opinions alot I noticed....yet again, I need you girls
...This time about flowers/Color Scheme....
I will try to make this a short and non-confusing as possible because I can get rambly...
My girls are wearing black BM dresses and as of now are carrying a lavender version of my dark purple bouquet.
That is what mine will look like, Blue Iris, Purple Lisianthus and Purple/Queen of the Night Tulips.....instead of Blue Iris theirs will be purple, with Lavender Lisianthus as well as lavender tulips, so things don't look so dark. My center pieces are 3 glass cubes filled with all different shades of purple.
Here's where it gets complicated....I saw the following bo-k the other day and it totally sparked my brain to want a little more color in the flowers (besides purple).
Now, it's not exactly what's in that bo-k BUT I figure if i use mostly dark purple flowers with a smattering of my favorite roses (Leonides)
it would really make the flowers POP against the dark purple and the black of the BM dresses. Plus I'm having black linens so the orange petals would look really beautiful against that....
Now the problem is.....does this evoke too much of a 'Halloween' feel? Orange and Purple are my two favorite colors and I'd love to use them both but my family already thinks I'm strange enough to begin with and I don't need 'family gossip' about how I had a 'Halloween' wedding in the middle of the winter.
What do you girls think, honestly (don't hold back on my now!!).....if I keep the orange to an absolute-minimum-highlight color-only type thing do you think it will look too cheesy??

I like it, and i love oranges for decor it is such a beautiful vibrant color...honestly didn't even think of halloween at all...even after you said it i looked back and nope. I do like the idea of having some color to pop against darker flowers

if all it was was orange and purple and black .. sorry to say yes it would make me feel like its a halloween feel not to say i don't dig it. I am all about that holiday. But if you don't want that I would say dive into the hot pink family over the orange.

I am having the same issue with my family. I'm the 'weird one' and I've run a halloween store the past two years. Everyone is shocked that we arent having a halloween wedding to begin with. (we were originally booked for oct, but it was too $$)
I think the colors would be great. The colors alone arent what will bring out the halloween feel. it's not a lot of orange... so i really wouldnt worry about it.
besides, they'll be too busy talking about how amazing you look to worry about the color of the flowers being halloweenish.

Hey, this is totally off my own topic....but what room are you having your reception in? I think I remember you saying something about the Briar Fox but I can't remember if that was you??
