It was not as delicious as I hoped. Or delicious at all. DH spit him out. Hopefully that isn't bad luck

Mine is still sitting in my refrigerator. I don't have the heart to throw it out.

I know. It was so pretty. It didn't have any nasty 'other food in the freezer' taste going on, just no moist-deliciousness and freezer burnage to the max.

We ate ours. But my BoK is still in the back of the fridge, like you said I just can't bring myself to throw it out.

Ours is at my aunts house.
Probably tastes like steak by now.
She doesn't use baking soda in her freezer.

we ate the cake in the few days after the wedding.

I tossed my bo-k after it died, about 2 weeks later.

I am UBER sentimental.

I am also tempted to sell my cake cutting set at the yard sale we are having on Sunday.

I think I truly AM missing the B gene.

totally miss her, btw. she was/is a good egg.

I tossed the cards, the bouquet - I got rid of so much crap for my mom to discover my non-sentimentality and SAVE it all for me.

B-Gene was cool. I used to FM her about skin care stuff!

DH spit his out, too. I talked him into eating it and he finally did and now he will never trust me again!

Do you think it's bad luck NOT to eat year-old wedding cake on our 1st anniversary ??

After reading this I was thinking of breaking out the cake this weekend since half of our bridal party will be over our house hanging out....figured they could eat it with us.....unless you think it's already lost it's flavor ?!?

Don't worry about luck.

Eat it this weekend - I'm sure that it will taste better now than in 2008.

If you froze it, then it should taste just fine after defrosting.
