I saw one on the petco web site and was thinking about getting it for my cat.
Does anyone have one or know if they are any good?
She loooooves her fresh water!

I have it, and my cats both love drinking out of the faucet, but they're scared of the fountain bowl. It's cute, I have no idea why they're so scared.

That's exactly what I was afriad of. I thought she might be spooked by the fountain.
I've never seen her drink from the faucet though. That must be fun to watch!

Our cat 'loved' his. just be careful to clean all around the detachable parts near the pump or it get really crummy.

Really? Your cat doesn't go into the sink? Leave the faucet dripping a little. Both of my cats either drink right from it, or let it drip onto their paws and drink it that way. It really is adorable. They also drink directly from the toilet, which is pretty gross, but also funny to watch them chase the water as it flushes.

Re: Anyone have the cat water fountain?
I have the faucet and spent way too much on it at PETCO. I actually just saw it much cheaper at Target this weekend.

Re: Anyone have the cat water fountain?
Our fountain was $25 at Pet Club. Filter refills were 2.99 for a 2 pack.
It took our kitty a little while to start 'choosing' the fountain over his other water bowl, but soon he started always drinking from the water slide in the fountain. He was so cute!!!

Thanks for all the feedback, ladies!
No, she doesn't drink from the faucet. Probably because I've always chased her off the countertops - she's never had a chance!
I will try it and see if it works. I'll take my digital camera and if I get a few funny shots of her checking it out I'll share!
Thanks again!

does it need to be attached to a faucet or do you fill it up and it recycles?

It is filled up and it recycles.
I bought the Petmate tonight (medium).
Does anyone know how long the water lasts? It holds 50 oz....if I go away for the weekend, can I let it run for 3 days straight?

How long can the pump go on the water without it running dry? Can it be used for vacation purposes?

Re: Fountain
One last thing - it makes periodic clicking sounds. It looks like it is full of water though. Is this normal?
Sorry for all the queries. She like my little baby and I'm a very protective mommy.
