I can NOT food shop with FH

DH and I always used to go grocery shopping together because in college he had a car and I didn't, and even after that we'd help eachother carry in the bags.

However, this year we realized we spend a ton more if he comes with me because he adds all of this misc stuff into the cart while I tend to stick more to what we came for.

I'll go by myself sometimes (my schedule is also a lot more flexible with school) but we tried a new technique last week an it really worked! I told DH we were making a shopping list -- the ingredients for any new recipes we wanted to try, anything we needed more of, and anything he wanted, but once we left our apt we were sticking to the list (unless something was insanely on sale, etc)

we 'considered' a few things in the store but stuck to our list and still got everything we would have wanted/needed. just trying to get used to not adding random stuff while we're in the store
